O Rio da Vida

Apocalipse 22:1-5 Então o anjo mostrou-me o rio da água da vida, resplandecente como cristal, que flui do trono de Deus e do Cordeiro até o meio da rua da cidade; também, em ambos os lados do rio, a árvore da vida com seus doze tipos de frutos, produzindo seus frutos a cada mês. As folhas da árvore eram para a cura das nações. Não haverá mais maldição alguma, mas o trono de Deus e do Cordeiro estará nele, e os seus servos o adorarão. Eles verão o seu rosto e o seu nome estará na sua fronte. E a noite não haverá mais. Não necessitarão de luz de lâmpada nem de sol, porque o Senhor Deus será a sua luz e reinarão para todo o sempre.

Reserve alguns minutos para reler e imaginar o rio cristalino que flui no meio da cidade, ladeado por árvores da vida com doze tipos de frutas. Imagine a pureza da luz que emana do Senhor Deus e veja os rostos de seus irmãos quando eles O adoram. Sinta a liberdade dos cuidados deste mundo caído e encoraje-se, pois em breve você verá Jesus face a face neste lugar glorioso.

Concluindo a meditação

De vez em quando leia novamente Apocalipse 22:1-5, e refresque-se e encoraje-se no Senhor para que este seja o destino final de todos os que constroem seu relacionamento com Deus no Caminho Estreito para o Relacionamento.

Meditation 102

Preparing for the End of All Things

1 Peter 4:7–8 (NKJV) "But the end of all things is at hand; therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”

The words, “the end of all things is at hand” written by Peter are more relevant now than ever. We could look at the signs of the times, which are in the news media every day, but it is more important to look at the advice Peter gave to prepare us.

His first instruction, be serious and disciplined about prayer, is the corner stone upon which we should be building our relationship with the Lord. Prayer is simply sharing your heart with the Lord and listening for Him to share His heart with you. It is best to set aside a specific place and time for communicating so the distractions of the day do not interfere with listening to the Lord speak. However, you can talk to Him all day long and He will listen.

Peter secondly emphasizes love for one another as a top priority, because it fulfills the requirement of the New Covenant, and covers a multitude of sin. How many times has someone shared the bad news about someone just so you could pray? That is not covering a person’s sin. If you love someone you will cover their sin by not gossiping about their failures. Instead, you will continue to love and pray for them.

Ending Thoughts

Even if you don’t believe the end of time is at hand, Peter’s advice of being serious about prayer and loving one another is pertinent to your journey with God. If you don’t have a prayer life ask Holy Spirit to help you develop one, and stay on the Narrow Path leading to a Relationship with God and your love for others will grow.

Meditação 102

Preparando-se para o fim de todas as coisas

1 Pedro 4:7-8 (NKJV) "Mas o fim de todas as coisas está próximo; portanto, seja sério e vigilante em suas orações. E acima de tudo, as pessoas têm um fervoroso amor umas pelas outras, pois “o amor cobrirá uma multidão de pecados”.

As palavras “o fim de todas as coisas está próximo” escritas por Pedro são mais relevantes agora do que nunca. Poderíamos olhar para os sinais dos tempos, que estão na mídia todos os dias, mas é mais importante olhar para o conselho que Pedro deu para nos prepararmos.

Sua primeira instrução, ser sério e disciplinado sobre a oração, é a pedra angular sobre a qual devemos construir nosso relacionamento com o Senhor. A oração é simplesmente compartilhar seu coração com o Senhor e ouvi-lo compartilhar seu coração com você. É melhor reservar um lugar e um horário específicos para a comunicação, para que as distrações do dia não interfiram em ouvir o Senhor falar. No entanto, você pode conversar com ele durante todo o dia e ele vai ouvir.

Em segundo lugar, Pedro enfatiza o amor uns pelos outros como uma prioridade, porque cumpre o requisito da Nova Aliança e cobre uma multidão de pecados. Quantas vezes alguém compartilhou as más notícias sobre alguém para que você pudesse orar? Isso não está cobrindo o pecado de uma pessoa. Meditation 101

The Paths of the Lord

Psalm 25:10–12 (AMP) All the paths of the Lord are mercy and steadfast love, even truth and faithfulness are they for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity and my guilt, for [they are] great. Who is the man who reverently fears and worships the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that he should choose.

The Lord leads those that keep the covenant. Not those that claim to be Christian, not those that attend church and pay tithes, just those that keep the covenant does He lead with mercy, steadfast love, truth, and faithfulness.  And to those that fear and worship Him, He will show them the path they should choose. 

Fear and worship are essential to maintaining and growing in your relationship with the Lord.  The promise or the blessing of the New Covenant is stated in John 15:7 (NLT) and starts with the words but and if, “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!" The word but is referring to John:6 which is the consequence of breaking the covenant. The word if, stipulates the condition of receiving the blessings of the covenant. We worship the Lord when our desire is to have His personality attributes. We fear the Lord by hating evil and keeping His commandment to love one another. 

Proverbs 8:13 (NKJV) "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil"; Proverbs 13:13 (AMP) "Whoever despises the word and counsel [of God] brings destruction upon himself, but he who [reverently] fears and respects the commandment [of God] is rewarded."

Those that understand breaking the commandment brings destruction into their lives, hate evil and fearfully worship the Lord by keeping His commandment to love one another. To these, the Lord shows the Narrow Path that leads to Relationship with God.

Ending Thoughts

Has the Lord shown you the Narrow Path that Leads to Relationship with God?  At the beginning of the Narrow Path is the Cross. The cross of Christ through which you enter the kingdom and the cross of obedience which lights the Narrow Path. To start or continue your journey take up your cross and follow Him and He will show you the Narrow Path.

Meditação 101

Os caminhos do Senhor

Salmo 25: 10–12 (AMP) Todas as veredas do Senhor são misericórdia e amor constante, sim, verdade e fidelidade, para os que guardam o seu pacto e os seus testemunhos. Por amor do teu nome, ó Senhor, perdoa a minha iniquidade e a minha culpa, porque são grandes. Quem é o homem que reverentemente teme e adora o Senhor? Ele ensinará da maneira que ele deve escolher.

O Senhor leva aqueles que guardam o pacto. Não aqueles que afirmam ser cristãos, não aqueles que frequentam a igreja e pagam dízimos, apenas aqueles que guardam o pacto Ele conduz com misericórdia, amor inabalável, verdade e fidelidade. E àqueles que o temem e adoram, Ele lhes mostrará o caminho que devem escolher.

Temor e adoração são essenciais para manter e crescer em seu relacionamento com o Senhor. A promessa ou a bênção da Nova Aliança é declarada em João 15: 7 (NLT) e começa com as palavras "Mas se você permanecer em mim e minhas palavras permanecerem em você, você pode pedir qualquer coisa que você queira. e será concedido!" A palavra, mas está se referindo a João: 6, que é a consequência de quebrar o pacto. A palavra se, estipula a condição de receber as bênçãos da aliança.

Nós adoramos o Senhor quando nosso desejo é ter os atributos de sua personalidade. Tememos o Senhor odiando o mal e mantendo o Seu mandamento de amar uns aos outros.

Provérbios 8:13 (NKJV) "O temor do Senhor é odiar o mal"; Provérbios 13:13 "Todo aquele que despreza a palavra e o conselho de Deus traz destruição sobre si mesmo, mas aquele que [reverentemente] teme e respeita o mandamento [de Deus] é recompensado."

Aqueles que entendem que quebrar o mandamento traz destruição em suas vidas, odeiam o mal e temem adorar o Senhor, guardando Seu mandamento de amar uns aos outros. Para estes, o Senhor mostra o caminho estreito que leva ao relacionamento com Deus.

Concluindo a meditação

O Senhor lhe mostrou o caminho estreito que leva ao relacionamento com Deus? No começo do caminho estreito está a cruz. A cruz de Cristo através da qual você entra no reino e a cruz de obediência que ilumina o caminho estreito. Para iniciar ou continuar sua jornada, pegue sua cruz e siga-a e ele lhe mostrará o caminho estreito.

Storing Treasure

Some men spend their lives searching for hidden treasure in the oceans of the world, others search for gold hidden in the earth, while still others seek to amass wealth by investing. Storing up wealth for the latter years of your life is advisable but Jesus warned us of becoming covetousness in Luke 12:15 "And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” The danger of covetousness, which is an inordinate or excessive desire, is the coveted object becomes an idol of worship that leads you away from God.  Nevertheless, Jesus did instruct us to store up treasure.          

Matthew 6:19-21  “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

This passage exposes a link between what you treasure and the focus of your heart. If you treasure money your heart (your mind) continually  focuses on ways of obtaining more money and money becomes your idol. Whatever you hold in your mind as treasure becomes and idol to you and draws you away from seeking and loving God.

Storing up or laying up treasure for yourselves in heaven is not just about tithing. When Jesus Christ is your focus, you store up treasures through acts of obedience and acts of love. There are eternal rewards stored in heaven, for those that feed the hungry, attend the orphans and widows, cloth the naked, and introduce the lost to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Ending Thoughts

What do you treasure? What is your mind continually focused on?  If your treasure is anything or anyone other than Jesus Christ it has become an idol in your heart. Ask Holy Spirit to reveal anyone or anything that has become an idol in your heart and remember God is jealous and He will not share your heart with anyone or anything.

Meditação 100

Armazenando Tesouro

Alguns homens passam a vida à procura de tesouros escondidos nos oceanos do mundo, outros procuram ouro escondido na terra, enquanto outros ainda buscam acumular riqueza investindo. É aconselhável guardar riqueza para os últimos anos de sua vida, mas Jesus nos advertiu de tornar-se cobiça em Lucas 12:15, e disse-lhes: “Guardai-vos e guardai-vos da cobiça; pois a vida de uma pessoa não consiste na abundância das coisas que ele possui.”

O perigo da cobiça, que é um desejo desordenado ou excessivo, é que o objeto cobiçado se torna um ídolo da adoração que o leva para longe de Deus. No entanto, Jesus nos instruiu a armazenar tesouros.

Mateus 6:19-21 "Não estabeleçam para vós tesouros na terra, onde a traça e a ferrugem destroem e onde os ladrões invadem e roubam; mas ajuntai para vós tesouros no céu, onde nem a traça nem a ferrugem destroem e onde os ladrões não entram e roubam. Pois onde está o seu tesouro, aí também estará o seu coração."

Esta passagem expõe uma ligação entre o que você estima e o foco do seu coração. Se você valoriza o dinheiro, seu coração (sua mente) continuamente se concentra em maneiras de obter mais dinheiro e o dinheiro se torna seu ídolo. Tudo o que você mantém em sua mente como tesouro se torna o ídolo para você e te afasta de buscar e amar a Deus.

Armazenar ou acumular tesouros para si mesmos no céu não é apenas sobre o dízimo. Quando Jesus Cristo é o seu foco, você armazena tesouros através de atos de obediência e atos de amor. Há recompensas eternas armazenadas no céu, para aqueles que alimentam os famintos, assistem aos órfãos e as viúvas, vestem os nus e apresentam os perdidos ao evangelho de Jesus Cristo.

Concluindo a meditação

O que você valoriza? Em que sua mente está continuamente focada? Se o seu tesouro é alguma coisa ou alguém que não seja Jesus Cristo, ele se tornou um ídolo em seu coração. Peça ao Espírito Santo para revelar alguém ou qualquer coisa que tenha se tornado um ídolo em seu coração e lembre-se de que Deus é ciumento e Ele não compartilhará seu coração com alguém ou qualquer coisa.

The Priceless Privilege

Philippians 3:7–8 (AMP) But whatever former things I had that might have been gains to me, I have come to consider as [one combined] loss for Christ’s sake. Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake, I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One).

In these verses, Apostle Paul describes everything as loss for the priceless privilege of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with his Lord, Jesus Christ. For Christ’s sake Paul lost everything and considered it rubbish, useless, trash just to have the privilege of knowing Christ. 

In our materialistic, fast paced, technological society, devoting time to seek a relationship with Jesus Christ seems strange and meaningless to most people. Even believers that attend church on Sunday and intend to dedicate twenty minutes a day of their busy week to read the bible and seek Christ, seldom do because the activities of life just get in the way.

Even though our society is more complex than in Pauls’ day, we like Paul, choose to devote time to the activities we consider important. The question becomes what could be more important than knowing Christ?

Ending Thoughts

Clearly the Apostle Paul had devoted his whole strength and soul to the precious privilege of knowing Christ.  As you travel on the Narrow Path and build your relationship with Christ, the chains of importance that bind you to worldly concerns will fall off and be replaced with a desire to know Him.

O Privilégio Inestimável

Filipenses 3: 7-8 (AMP) Mas quaisquer que tenham sido as coisas anteriores que poderiam ter sido ganhos para mim, cheguei a considerar como uma perda combinada por causa de Cristo. Sim, além disso, considero tudo como perda comparada à posse do privilégio inestimável (a preciosidade esmagadora, o valor extraordinário e a vantagem suprema) de conhecer a Cristo Jesus, meu Senhor, e de progressivamente tornar-se mais profunda e intimamente familiarizado com Ele [de percebendo e reconhecendo e compreendendo-o mais completa e claramente]. Por sua causa, perdi tudo e considero tudo um mero lixo (refugo, escória), para poder ganhar (ganhar) Cristo (o Ungido).

Nestes versículos, o apóstolo Paulo descreve tudo como perda do inestimável privilégio de se tornar progressivamente mais profundo e intimamente familiarizado com seu Senhor Jesus Cristo. Pelo amor de Cristo, Paulo perdeu tudo e considerou lixo, inútil, só para ter o privilégio de conhecer a Cristo.

Em nossa sociedade tecnológica, materialista e acelerada, dedicar tempo para buscar um relacionamento com Jesus Cristo parece estranho e sem sentido para a maioria das pessoas. Mesmo crentes que frequentam a igreja no domingo e pretendem dedicar vinte minutos por dia de sua semana atarefada para ler a Bíblia e buscar a Cristo, raramente o fazem porque as atividades da vida apenas atrapalham.

Mesmo que nossa sociedade seja mais complexa do que nos dias de Paulo, nós, assim como Paulo, decidimos dedicar tempo às atividades que consideramos importantes. A questão se torna o que poderia ser mais importante do que conhecer a Cristo?

Concluindo a meditação

Claramente, o apóstolo Paulo havia dedicado toda a sua força e alma ao precioso privilégio de conhecer a Cristo. À medida que você viaja pelo Caminho Estreito e constrói seu relacionamento com Cristo, as cadeias de importância que o prendem às preocupações mundanas cairão e serão substituídas pelo desejo de conhecê-Lo.

Meditate on These Things

Philippians 4:8 (AMP) For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

Paul in Philippians 4:6-7, revealed, his down-to-earth instructions on living in the peace of God; First do not get anxious about anything, second, in every circumstance pray definite requests and third, with thanksgiving make your wants known to God.  Continuing on in vs 8, Paul sets forth another down-to-earth instruction this time concerning our thought life.

In the affairs of everyday life, the mind is confronted with thoughts about a multitude of ideas, issues, and events. To stay in the peace of God, Paul advocates fixing the mind on whatever is just, honorable, pure, lovely, winsome, gracious, kind, and loveable. The written Word of God has all of these qualities and is the very words of life.

Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV) states “Keep your heart with all diligence, for, out of it spring the issues of life.”  Heart, in this scripture is not the blood pumping muscle, but the inner soul of man which includes the mind, the will, and the emotions. The battle to control the mind rages between the flesh, the devil, and Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is vitally important to fix our mind on the Words of God rather than the cares and issues of this life.

Ending Thoughts

As you journey on the Narrow Path that leads to Relationship with God, fix you mind (think about) on whatever is just, honorable, pure, lovely, winsome, gracious, kind, and loveable. In other words, fix you mind on Christ.

Medite sobre estas coisas

Filipenses 4:8 (AMP) para o resto, irmãos, o que é verdadeiro, tudo o que é digno de reverência e é honroso e decente, tudo o que é justo, tudo o que é puro, tudo o que é amável e se existe alguma virtude e excelência, se há algo digno de louvor, pense e pondere e leve em conta essas coisas [fixe suas mentes nelas].

Paulo em Filipenses 4:6-7 revelou suas instruções práticas sobre a vida na paz de Deus; Primeiro, não fique ansioso por nada, em segundo lugar, em todas as circunstâncias, ore por pedidos definidos e, em terceiro lugar, com ações de graças, faça seus desejos conhecidos por Deus. Continuando em vs. 8, Paulo apresenta outra instrução realista desta vez sobre a nossa vida de pensamento.

Nos assuntos da vida cotidiana, a mente é confrontada com pensamentos sobre uma infinidade de idéias, questões e eventos. Para permanecer na paz de Deus, Paulo defende fixar a mente em tudo que é justo, honrado, puro, amável, atraente, gracioso, bondoso e amável. A Palavra escrita de Deus tem todas essas qualidades e são as próprias palavras da vida.

Provérbios 4:23 declara: “Guardai o teu coração com toda a diligência, pois daí brotam as questões da vida.” Coração, nesta escritura não é o músculo bombeador de sangue, mas a alma interior do homem que inclui a mente, vontade e as emoções. A batalha para controlar a mente se enfurece entre a carne, o diabo e o Espírito Santo. Portanto, é de vital importância fixar nossa mente nas Palavras de Deus, em vez das preocupações e questões desta vida.

Concluindo a meditação

Enquanto você viaja pelo Caminho Estreito que leva ao Relacionamento com Deus, fixe sua mente (pense sobre) no que quer que seja justo, honrado, puro, amável, encantador, gentil e amável. Em outras palavras, fixe sua mente em Cristo.

Be anxious about nothing

Philippians 4:6–7 (AMP) Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Paul in his letter to the Philippians revealed to us, in straightforward instructions, how to walk in God’s peace when faced with the circumstances of life.  Here are his down-to-earth instructions; First do not get anxious about anything, second, in every circumstance pray definite requests and third, with thanksgiving make your wants known to God.

Not becoming anxious about anything in our anxiety charged society, is an overwhelming task that can only be accomplished by applying the mortifying power of the Holy Spirt to stop the body from becoming anxious. Praise Jesus, for the promise, the blessing, of the New Covenant John 15:7 (NKJV) If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.  Therefore, our first step in not becoming anxious is to ask Holy Spirit to fill us with His calmness.

The second instruction is a combination of prayer (talking to Jesus) and thanking Jesus for what He has done. Thirdly, with our hearts fill with praise and thanksgiving we are to present our definite request to God.

The results will be God’s peace will fill our souls and guard our hearts from becoming anxious. Praise God.

Ending Thoughts 

The Narrow Path of obedience brings into our lives an assurance of our salvation, a trusting faith, and contentment with our station in life. Stay on the Narrow Path beloved, God has great things instore for you.

Fique ansioso por nada

Filipenses 4: 6–7 (AMP) Não se preocupe ou tenha qualquer ansiedade sobre qualquer coisa, mas em todas as circunstâncias e em tudo, pela oração e petição (pedidos definitivos), com gratidão, continue a fazer seus desejos conhecidos por Deus.

E a paz de Deus [será seu, o estado tranqüilo de uma alma assegurada de sua salvação através de Cristo, e por isso não teme nada de Deus e está contente com sua porção terrena de qualquer tipo que seja, aquela paz] que transcenda todo entendimento e monta guarda sobre os vossos corações e mentes em Cristo Jesus.

Paulo em sua carta aos filipenses nos revelou, em instruções diretas, como andar na paz de Deus quando confrontado com as circunstâncias da vida. Aqui estão suas instruções terra-a-terra; Primeiro, não fique ansioso por nada, em segundo lugar, em todas as circunstâncias, reze por pedidos definidos e, em terceiro lugar, com ações de graças, faça seus desejos conhecidos por Deus.

Não ficar ansioso com nada em nossa sociedade carregada de ansiedade é uma tarefa avassaladora que só pode ser realizada aplicando o poder mortificante do Espírito Santo para impedir que o corpo se torne ansioso. Louvem a Jesus, pela promessa, a bênção da Nova Aliança. João 15: 7 (NKJV) Se vocês permanecerem em Mim e Minhas palavras permanecerem em vocês, perguntarão o que desejarem, e isto será feito por vocês. Portanto, nosso primeiro passo para não ficar ansioso é pedir ao Espírito Santo para nos encher com a Sua calma.

A segunda instrução é uma combinação de oração (falando com Jesus) e agradecendo a Jesus pelo que Ele fez. Em terceiro lugar, com o coração cheio de louvor e gratidão, devemos apresentar nosso pedido definitivo a Deus.

Os resultados serão a paz de Deus encherá nossas almas e protegerá nossos corações de ficarem ansiosos. Louve a Deus.

O Caminho Estreito da obediência traz à nossa vida uma certeza da nossa salvação, uma fé confiante e satisfação com a nossa posição na vida. Permaneça no Caminho Estreito amado, Deus tem grandes coisas instigadas por você.

Benefits of Obedience

Obeying the commandment to love one another like Christ loved you, is the key to victorious living in Jesus’ Kingdom. Obedience brings you into relationship, identifies you as a disciple of Christ, opens the door to walking in the blessings of the New Covenant, and among other things, positions you to see Jesus.

1 John 4:7 (AMP) Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him].

Keeping the commandment to love keeps you on the Narrow Path that progressively leads you into relationship with Jesus and Father God and as your love grows people will know you are a disciple of Christ.  John 13:35 (NKJV) "By, this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." 

Keeping or obey the commandment to love also keeps you united in covenant and is the key to walking in the blessing of the New Covenant John 15:7 (NKJV) If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Those are wonder benefits of obedience but this promise of Jesus is amazing! John 14:21 (NKJV) "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." 

Another word for manifest is show or reveal.  Jesus can and does reveal Himself to us through the bible but he can also reveal or show Himself to us as He did the disciples. As you draw closer to Him through obedience your trust and belief grows and this scripture comes into play.

Stay on the Narrow Path beloved, and remember, All, things are possible to him that believes! Even Jesus revealing Himself to you as He did the disciples.

Benefícios da Obediência

Obedecer ao mandamento de amar uns aos outros como Cristo amou você, é a chave para a vida vitoriosa no Reino de Jesus. A obediência leva você ao relacionamento, identifica você como um discípulo de Cristo, abre a porta para caminhar nas bênçãos da Nova Aliança e, entre outras coisas, posiciona você para ver Jesus.

1 João 4: 7 (AMP) Amados, amemo-nos uns aos outros, pois o amor é (provém) de Deus; e aquele que ama [seu próximo] é gerado (nascido) de Deus e está vindo [progressivamente] para conhecer e entender Deus [para perceber e reconhecer e obter um conhecimento melhor e mais claro dEle].

Guardar o mandamento ao amor mantém você no caminho estreito que progressivamente leva você a se relacionar com Jesus e com o Pai e Deus, à medida que seu amor cresce, as pessoas saberão que você é um discípulo de Cristo. João 13:35 "Por isso, tudo isto saberá que vocês são Meus discípulos, se vocês se amam uns aos outros." Guardar ou obedecer ao mandamento de amar também os mantém unidos em aliança e é a chave para andar em bênção da nova aliança João 15: 7 (NKJV) "Se você habita em mim, e as minhas palavras permanecem em você, você vai perguntar o que você deseja, e isso será feito por você".

Aqueles são maravilhosos benefícios da obediência, mas esta promessa de Jesus é incrível! João 14:21 "Aquele que tem os meus mandamentos e os guarda, esse é o que me ama. E aquele que me ama será amado por meu Pai, e eu o amarei e me manifestarei a ele".

Outra palavra para manifestar é mostrar ou revelar. Jesus pode e se revela a nós através da Bíblia, mas ele também pode revelar ou mostrar-se a nós como Ele fez com os discípulos. À medida que você se aproxima dele através da obediência, sua confiança e crença crescem e essa escritura entra em ação.

Permaneça no Caminho Estreito amado, e lembre-se, Todas as coisas são possíveis para aquele que acredita! Mesmo Jesus se revelando a você como Ele fez com os discípulos.

The Devil is a liar

John 8:44 (NKJV) You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Many years ago, while living in Phoenix Arizona, I had a job that required me to travel frequently. Early one Monday morning, I stopped at the closest gasoline station near my home to purchase gasoline for my drive to Tucson. I filled my tank and then stood in line to pay the attendant standing in a small enclosed booth.  As I slid my money into the tray I greeted the attendant and asked, “how are you today.” To my surprise she said, “oh I have had a migraine headache for three days but I will be ok, they usually go away in a week.” “I am sorry to hear that,” I said as I gathered my change and walked away. As I started to get into my car the Holy Spirit said to me, “go pray for that woman.”  “Oh Lord that woman is very busy and there is no way she will open her door and let me pray for her.” I responded.

Knowing the Lord would not honor my excuses I decided to wash the windows on my vehicle with the hope that the line of people waiting to pay the attendant would disappear. After washing the windows, the line was still long, so, I washed the head and tail lights, opened the hood and checked the oil and water levels and the line of people grew longer.   I then decided to sit in my car and wait for the line of people to disappear.

As I opened the door Holy Spirit said, “if you get in that car you will disobey me.” “Alright Lord, if you want me to embarrass myself I will.” I said, as I closed the car door and walked to the attendant’s booth. When I knocked on the entrance door to the booth, to my surprise, the woman opened the door just enough to stick her head out and say, “can I help you.” I immediately placed my hand on her head and said, “Jesus told me to pray for you. In the Name of Jesus, you, migraine demon, you are bound and commanded to release this lady and never come back. Amen.” Without saying another word, I immediately turned and walked to my car got in and drove away. As I drove away the devil said to me, “well you will never be able to show your face around that station again. What a fool you are, believing God is going to use you to heal that lady.” 

I avoided that gasoline station for weeks until one Monday morning I had to purchase gasoline or risk running out. “Well’, I thought as I drove into the station and stopped at the pump farthest from the attendant booth, “she probably isn’t here this morning.” As I finished filling the car’s gasoline tank and placed the hose back into the pump I looked toward the booth and saw the lady I had laid hands on. My heart sunk. And then I thought, “take courage she won’t remember you anyway.” Keeping my head down, I entered the line to pay for the gasoline, hoping somehow by lowering my head I would be unrecognizable. When it was my turn to pay the woman in the booth shouted, “Where have you been? I haven’t had a migraine since you prayed for me!” “That is wonderful, Jesus really loves you.” I said as I paid my bill and turned to walk away.

Ending Thought

As you continue down the Narrow Path you will become more and more secure in the Father and Jesus’ love for you. And because of this love your faith will be active and you will begin to lay hands on the sick, cast out devils, and if you drink any deadly thing it will not harm you. Remember the devil is a liar obey God and walk in the victory Christ has purchased for you.

Meditação 95

O Diabo é um mentiroso

João 8:44 Vocês são do seu pai, o diabo, e os desejos de seu pai querem fazer. Ele foi homicida desde o princípio e não permanece na verdade, porque não há verdade nele. Quando ele fala uma mentira, ele fala de seus próprios recursos, pois ele é um mentiroso e o pai disso.

Muitos anos atrás, enquanto morava em Phoenix, Arizona, eu tinha um emprego que me obrigava a viajar com frequência. Cedo, numa manhã de segunda-feira, parei no posto de gasolina mais próximo, perto de minha casa, para comprar gasolina para minha viagem a Tucson. Eu enchi meu tanque e, em seguida, fiquei na fila para pagar a atendente em pé em uma pequena cabine fechada. Quando coloquei meu dinheiro na bandeja, cumprimentei a atendente e perguntei: “como você está hoje?” Para minha surpresa, ela disse: “Ah, eu tive uma enxaqueca por três dias, mas eu ficarei bem, elas geralmente vão embora". “Eu sinto muito em ouvir isso", eu disse enquanto pegava meu troco e saía. Quando comecei a entrar no meu carro, o Espírito Santo me disse: “vá ora por aquela mulher”. “Oh, Senhor, essa mulher está muito ocupada e não há como ela abrir a porta e me deixar orar por ela”. respondi.

Sabendo que o Senhor não honraria minhas desculpas, decidi lavar as janelas do meu veículo com a esperança de que a fila de pessoas que esperavam para pagar o atendente desaparecesse. Depois de lavar as janelas, a linha ainda era longa, então, lavei o capô e as luzes traseiras, abri o capô e verifiquei os níveis de óleo e água e a fila de pessoas ficou mais longa. Decidi então sentar no meu carro e esperar que a fila de pessoas desaparecesse.

Quando abri a porta, o Espírito Santo disse: "se você entrar naquele carro, você me desobedecerá". "Tudo bem, Senhor, se você quer que eu me envergonhe, eu vou." Eu disse, quando fechei a porta do carro e caminhei até o estande da atendente. Quando eu bati na porta de entrada do guichê, para minha surpresa, a mulher abriu a porta apenas o suficiente para esticar a cabeça e dizer: "posso ajudá-lo". Eu imediatamente coloquei minha mão em sua cabeça e disse: "Jesus me disse para orar por você. No Nome de Jesus, você, demônio da enxaqueca, é obrigado e ordenado a libertar esta dama e nunca mais voltar. Amém. Sem dizer outra palavra, eu imediatamente me virei e caminhei até o meu carro e entrei. Enquanto me afastava, o diabo me disse: “bem, você nunca mais conseguirá mostrar seu rosto em volta daquela estação. Que idiota você é, acreditando que Deus vai usar você para curar aquela dama.

Evitei o posto de gasolina durante semanas até uma manhã de segunda-feira ter de comprar gasolina ou correr o risco de sair correndo. "Bem", pensei enquanto dirigia para a estação e parei na bomba mais longe da cabine de atendimento, "ela provavelmente não está aqui esta manhã". Quando terminei de encher o tanque de gasolina do carro e coloquei a mangueira de volta na bomba, eu olhei para a cabine e vi a dama que eu tinha posto as mãos. Meu coração afundou. E então eu pensei, "tome coragem, ela não vai se lembrar de você de qualquer maneira." Mantendo minha cabeça baixa, eu entrei na fila para pagar a gasolina, esperando que de alguma forma, abaixando a cabeça, eu estaria irreconhecível. Quando chegou a minha vez de pagar a mulher na cabine gritou: “Onde você esteve? Eu não tive uma enxaqueca desde que você orou por mim!” “Isso é maravilhoso, Jesus realmente ama você. ”Eu disse enquanto pagava minha conta e me virava para ir embora.

Concluindo a meditação

Ao continuar no Caminho Estreito, você se tornará cada vez mais seguro no amor do Pai e de Jesus por você. E por causa desse amor, sua fé estará ativa e você começará a colocar as mãos sobre os doentes, expulsará demônios, e se você beber alguma coisa mortal, isso não lhe fará mal. Lembre-se que o diabo é um mentiroso, obedeça a Deus e ande na vitória que Cristo comprou para você.

Dia 94

Even Demons Believe  

James 2:18–20 (ESV) But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?

Many people will tell you they believe in Jesus, but James stated that just saying you believe was not good enough because even demons believe. The difference between people saying they have faith and those whose faith is demonstrated by their works, is discipleship.

Just because you go to church, sing in the choir, and pay tithes, does not mean you are a disciple of Christ. Jesus said if you want to be my disciple take up your cross and follow me. Follow you where Jesus, you might ask?  Follow me in obedience, through which you will die to your selfish desires an enter into a relationship with Me and Father. Obeying Jesus is not always easy but it is always rewarding.

The more we know Him, the more we love and trust or have faith in Him. As our nature becomes more Christ like, His life is manifest through us and our faith becomes visible by our works of love. 

Ending Thoughts

Love motivates Jesus and love motivates His disciples. If you continue on the Narrow Path you will be motivated by love and your faith will be active, not dead.

Meditação 93

Imaginações

Gênesis 3: 4-6 (AMP) Mas a serpente disse à mulher: Não morrerás certamente; Porque Deus sabe que no dia em que dela comerem, os teus olhos se abrirão e sereis como Deus. conhecendo a diferença entre o bem e o mal e a bênção e a calamidade. E quando a mulher viu que a árvore era boa (adequada, agradável) para a comida e que era agradável de se olhar, e uma árvore a ser desejada a fim de tornar um sábio, ela tomou seus frutos e comeu; e ela também deu alguns para o marido e ele comeu.

Observe a progressão no pensamento de Eva enquanto ela ouvia o diabo e olhava para a fruta. Primeiro, ela viu que a fruta era boa para comida. Em segundo lugar, ela viu que era delicioso olhar para ela. Terceiro, ela desejou ser feita sábia e então ela pegou a fruta e deu um pouco para o marido.

O engano de Eva começou quando a serpente usou palavras para despertar sua imaginação e estimular seu desejo de ser sábia como Deus. O diabo pintou parte da tela, mas deixou de lado as consequências destrutivas de desobedecer a Deus.

O diabo não mudou suas táticas. Ele ainda usa palavras para estimular a imaginação. Tomemos por exemplo comerciais de cerveja. O comercial começa com palavras como "a boa vida começa com Corona, ou esta Bud é para você." Nós somos então mostrados uma cena de jovens, saudáveis, homens e mulheres em uma praia com o sol atrás deles conversando e rindo enquanto bebem cerveja. O comercial termina com uma foto de uma garrafa de cerveja e palavras mais atraentes, “aproveite a boa vida”. Você nunca verá um comercial que mostre alguém morrendo de cirrose no fígado - ou o lado destrutivo da vida boa imaginada.

No versículo Mateus 6:22, Jesus nos disse que o olho é a lâmpada do corpo através da qual nosso corpo está cheio de luz ou escuridão. Desejos bons ou ruins surgem quando olhamos e imaginamos com base no que observamos.

Concluindo a meditação

Tenha cuidado com o que você olha e sempre pesar seus desejos contra o desejo da vontade de Deus para a sua vida. Faça a sua escolha com base nessa questão - isso me tirará do meu relacionamento com Deus ou me aproximará dele?

Day 92

Pay Attention

Proverbs 5:1 (NKJV) My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding.

Although Proverbs 5 instructs young men to stay away from adultery and the adulterous woman the words, “pay attention to my wisdom” stands as solid advice to all that will hear.

The battle is raging to eliminate Jesus and God out of society and out of your mind. The devil’s strategy is to convince you that you have the right to determine your own destiny even if you believe God exists. It is an old strategy but effective.

Romans 1:21 (NKJV) because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Many today say they believe in God but do not honor or glorify Him by obeying His command, but choose to follow their own path and they are becoming futile in their thoughts. Indeed, this is the time to pay attention to God’s word for it is by His word that we will escape the deceptions that are in the world.

We are living in the age of conformity, in which the devil and his crowd are pushing us to conform to the image of the world and not think about God. God has been driven out of our schools, our work places, our government, and even out of many churches using the mantra of shut up and conform or else you will suffer. 

Suddenly Christians that do not conform are bigots, homophobes, insensitive, close minded, right wing radicals, and dangerous to society. As the world plummets toward hell Christians are intimidated into sitting down and shutting up. We have been convinced it is ok to vote for politicians that believe in abortion, perverted sex, and in teaching our children perverted sex is natural and acceptable. Listen saint, the only hope we have today is to pay attention to God’s word and boldly start acting on it. 

Ending thoughts

Cast aside your right to yourself, pick up your cross of obedience and truly become a disciple of Christ. Pay attention to the principles of The Love Covenant and follow the commandment to love.  Stay on the Narrow Path to relationship and you will come into relationship with Jesus and Father which will give you the boldness to stand and proclaim Jesus is the only solution.
