THE NARROW PATH TO RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD - DAY 58

Day 58

Are You Deceived?  

Matthew 24:4 (AMP) Jesus answered them, Be, careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error].

Many years ago, a pastor friend was lake fishing with two friends when suddenly he had a severe heart attack. His friends quickly drove him to a nearby hospital where a renowned heart surgeon examined him and rushed him into surgery. During the heart surgery, the pastor came out of his body and the surgeon pronounced him dead but continued the surgery to practice his surgical skills.

The pastor, now out of his body, was watching from the operating room ceiling when suddenly he was quickly drawn through complete darkness into a seat in a large auditorium. At the front of the auditorium stood a sixty-foot long wooden stage with a velvet red curtain as a backdrop.

As the seats in the auditorium filled to capacity two people walked to the middle of the stage and pointing to the red velvet curtain addressed the audience saying, “we told you in-order to enter paradise you must renounce Jesus Christ and accept our god. This is your final chance! Renounce Jesus Christ and you can go behind the curtain.”

Instantly massive doubt-filled questions overpowered the pastor’s mind! Have I been deceived? Is Jesus really the Son of God? Maybe Jesus is not the Savior? Maybe these people are right?

“No, No, No, this is a deception! Jesus Christ is God’s Son! He is my Lord and my Savior!”

         

As faith arose the doubtful questions disappeared, and pastor began to hear people throughout the auditorium denouncing Jesus Christ as their Savior.  He tried to stand and shout against the deception, but he was locked in his seat and could not speak.

Suddenly the seats were unlocked and everyone in the auditorium were launched forward toward the open red velvet curtain and a lake of fire.  A putrid stench of burning flesh arose from the lake as those that renounced Christ flew past pastor into the fire screaming, “help us we have been deceived!”

The curtain closed and pastor was again locked into an auditorium seat watching another couple from a different religion walk onto the stage and challenge people to denounce Christ. The massive doubt-filled questions again flooded pastor’s mind causing him to rethink his commitment to Christ. Suddenly faith arose! “No, No, No, this is a deception! Jesus is the Son of God, He is my Lord and Savior!” Again, pastor heard people denounce Christ and tried to warn them but could not.

The seats unlocked and thrust everyone toward the stage and the fiery lake behind the open red velvet curtain. The putrid stench of burning flesh filled his nostrils as he listened to the people scream, “Help us we have been deceived!” The curtain closed and pastor was back in his seat.

On his third approach to the lake of fire Jesus appeared to him and said, “My people are being deceived go back and warn them.” After Jesus spoke, pastor came back to life as his body was being removed from the operating room. 

There are many humanistic deceptions being spewed into the world that are designed to keep people from Christ and dilute those that have received Jesus as Lord and Savior. Only those that have developed a relationship with Jesus and Father God will be able to stand against this onslaught of deception, so stay on the Narrow Path and build your relationship.

Have you been diluted by humanistic views? Ask the Lord and He will show you and help you cast off any deception.

Você está enganado?

Mateus 24: 4 (AMP) Jesus lhes respondeu: Cuidado para não te enganar [te enganar e te levar ao erro].

Muitos anos atrás, um amigo meu estava pescando com alguns amigos quando de repente ele teve um grave ataque cardíaco. Seus amigos rapidamente o levaram para um hospital próximo, onde um renomado cirurgião cardíaco o examinou e o levou às pressas para a cirurgia. Durante a cirurgia cardíaca, o pastor saiu de seu corpo e o cirurgião o declarou morto, mas continuou a cirurgia com a prática de suas habilidades cirúrgicas.

O pastor, agora fora de seu corpo, observava do teto da sala de cirurgia quando foi subitamente atraído pela escuridão total e colocado em um assento em um grande auditório. Na frente do auditório, havia um palco de madeira de quase dez metros, com uma cortina de veludo vermelho como pano de fundo.

"Nós lhes dissemos que você tem que pagar pelos serviços de Jesus Cristo e aceitar nosso deus. Esta é sua última chance! Renuncie a Jesus Cristo e você pode ir atrás da cortina".

Questões duvidosas instantaneamente tremendas dominaram a mente do pastor! Eu fui enganado? Jesus é realmente o Filho de Deus? Talvez Jesus não seja o Salvador? Talvez essas pessoas estejam certas?

De dentro do seu espírito vieram as palavras: Não, não, isso é um engano. Jesus Cristo é o Filho de Deus, Senhor e meu Salvador.

Quando a fé surgiu, as perguntas duvidosas desapareceram, e o pastor começou a ouvir as pessoas em todo o auditório denunciando Jesus Cristo como seu Salvador. Ele tentou se levantar e gritar contra o engano, mas ele estava trancado em seu assento e não podia falar.

De repente, os assentos foram destrancados e todos no auditório foram lançados para a frente, para a cortina aberta de veludo vermelho e um lago de fogo. O fedor pútrido de carne queimada surgiu do lago quando aqueles que renunciaram a Cristo voaram para o fogo gritando: "ajudai-nos a sermos enganados!"

A cortina se fechou e o pastor foi mais uma vez trancado em um assento de auditório, observando outro casal de uma religião diferente entrar no palco e desafiar as pessoas a denunciarem a Cristo.

Em sua terceira aproximação ao lago de fogo, Jesus apareceu a ele e disse: "Meu povo está sendo enganado, volte e os avise". Com as palavras de Jesus, o pastor voltou à vida quando seu corpo estava sendo removido da sala de cirurgia.

Há muitos enganos humanísticos sendo lançados no mundo que são projetados para manter as pessoas de Cristo e diluir aqueles que receberam Jesus, o Senhor e Salvador. Somente aqueles que desenvolveram um relacionamento com Jesus e com o Pai Deus serão capazes de enfrentar esse ataque de decepção, portanto, permaneçam no Caminho Estreito.

Day 57 

The Appointed Time

Galatians 4:1–5 (NKJV) Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

The chains that once held us in slavery to the elements of a selfish nature, have been broken by God through Jesus Christ. The time has come, beloved child of God, to grow up as sons of God into the image of Jesus Christ.

When we focus our lives around the commandment to love we are on the path that leads to an eternal relationship with our Father and Jesus Christ His Son. The things and cares of this world fade away as shadows in His presence and our desire to know Him becomes our passion.

As we are transformed inwardly into His very image our compassion for the lost, the sick, the broken hearted, and those in-snared by the devil drives us to the Throne of Grace crying “Father, help us for without You they will perish.”

         

Ending Thoughts

Along the Narrow Path to Relationship with God, Holy Spirit will help us grow into mature sons as we totally surrender our selfish will to our Father’s will.  Are you on the path today? Are there areas in your life that are not totally surrendered to God?

Gálatas 4:1–5 (NKJV) Agora eu digo que o herdeiro, desde que ele é uma criança, não difere em nada de um escravo, embora ele seja o mestre de todos, mas está sob guardiões e mordomos até que o hora designada pelo pai. Mesmo assim, quando éramos crianças, estávamos em cativeiro sob os elementos do mundo. Mas quando a plenitude do tempo chegou, Deus enviou Seu Filho, nascido de uma mulher, nascido sob a lei, para resgatar aqueles que estavam debaixo da lei, para que pudéssemos receber a adoção como filhos.

As cadeias que antes nos mantinham escravizadas aos elementos de natureza egoísta foram quebradas por Deus por meio de Jesus Cristo. Chegou a hora, amado filho de Deus, de crescer como filhos de Deus à imagem de Jesus Cristo.

Quando focamos nossa vida em torno do mandamento de amar, estamos no caminho que leva a um relacionamento eterno com nosso Pai e Jesus Cristo, Seu Filho. As coisas e cuidados deste mundo desaparecem enquanto as sombras em Sua presença e nosso desejo de conhecê-lo se tornam nossa paixão.

À medida que somos transformados interiormente em Sua própria imagem, nossa compaixão pelos perdidos, doentes, quebrantados de coração e entrançados pelo demônio nos leva ao Trono da Graça gritando “Pai, ajuda-nos, pois sem Ti eles perecerão."

Concluindo a meditação

Ao longo do caminho estreito para o relacionamento com Deus, o Espírito Santo nos ajudará a crescer em filhos maduros, à medida que entregamos totalmente nossa vontade egoísta à vontade de nosso Pai. Você está no caminho hoje? Há áreas em sua vida que não são totalmente entregues a Deus?
