Day 78

Praise the Lord

Psalm 146:1–6 (AMP) PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Praise the Lord, O my soul! While I live will I praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have any being. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help. When his breath leaves him, he returns to his earth; in that very day his [previous] thoughts, plans, and purposes perish. [I Cor. 2:6.] Happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is he who has the God of [special revelation to] Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, [Gen. 32:30.] Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, Who keeps truth and is faithful forever

         

The princes, in our day the politicians, insult and vilify their opponents, while they promote bizarre unfulfillable promises that lead down the wide road to destruction. Using enticing words, they promote exciting visions to mindless people of a perfect society without a bothersome moral code from God, whom they say does not exist. Unlike the Lord Jesus, they are liars, unstable, unreliable, unfaithful in all their ways.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, is the heart cry of this psalmist who has found, amid the princes of man, the Lord to be faithful and trust worthy. And we like the psalmist, will find Jesus Christ to be faithful, and trust worthy as we continue along this narrow path of obedience set before us.

Ending Thoughts

Strong deception is pouring out on every nation and only those that keep their focused-on Jesus will be ready to meet Him when He comes. His coming is soon, which begs the questions; Do you know Him? Are you ready?

Dia 78

Louvado seja o Senhor

Salmo 146: 1–6 (AMP) Aleluia! Louve, ó minha alma ao Senhor. Louvarei ao Senhor por toda a minha vida; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus enquanto eu viver. Não confiem em príncipes, em meros mortais, incapazes de salvar. Quando o espírito deles se vai, voltam ao pó; naquele mesmo dia acabam-se os seus planos (anteriores). (1Cor 2:6) Como é feliz (abençoado, afortunado, invejável)  aquele cujo auxílio é o Deus de Jacó, cuja esperança está no Senhor, no seu Deus, (Gen 32:30) que fez os céus e a terra, o mar e tudo o que neles há, e que mantém a sua fidelidade para sempre!

Os governantes, os políticos hoje em dia, insultam e provocam os seus oponentes, e promovem promessas bizarras as quais não são cumpridas e conduzem a um vasto caminho de destruição. Usam palavras cativantes para promover nas pessoas uma visão animadora de uma sociedade perfeita sem um código moral de Deus, a quem eles dizem que não existe. Ao contrário do Senhor Jesus, eles são mentirosos, instáveis, não confiáveis, infiéis em todos os seus caminhos.

Louve seja o Senhor! Louvado seja o Senhor, é o clamor do coração deste salmista que encontrou, entre os governos do homem, o Senhor para ser fiel e digno de confiança. E nós gostamos do salmista, encontraremos Jesus Cristo para sermos fiéis e digno de confiança enquanto continuamos nesse caminho estreito de obediência diante de nós.

Concluindo a meditação

Um forte engano está sendo derramado em todas as nações e somente aqueles que mantêm o seu foco em Jesus estarão prontos para encontrá-Lo quando Ele vier. Sua vinda é breve, o que suscita as perguntas; Você conhece ele? Você está pronto?

Day 77

Looking to Jesus

Hebrews 12:2 (AMP) Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [Ps. 110:1.]

         

What a Savior we have! He endured the shame of the cross and took God’s wrath for us! And became the Author and finisher of our Faith! Praise God dearly beloved He will accomplish that which He has started in you!

Through Holy Spirit, Jesus will direct our path, mold us into His image, perfect our love, and lead us into a trusting relationship with Himself and our Father. The result of our trusting relationship is the energizing and activation of the measure of faith we received at Salvation.

When the world seems to be caving in on you, Look to Jesus! When the finances are lacking, look to Jesus! When those you love mock you, Look to Jesus! Don’t focus on the problem, look to Jesus who will calm the storm and infuse you with faith to carry on!  All you have to do is stay on the narrow path by obeying the commandment to love and He will complete that which He started!  

Ending Thoughts

Oh, Glory how wonderful, how marvelous, because of Jesus, faith to believe is available for all, eternal life is available to all!  Stay on the Narrow Path and enjoy your fellowship with Jesus and our Father! He will complete that which He has started in your life.

Dia 77  

Olhando para Jesus

Hebreus 12: 2 (AMP) Olhando (desviando o olhar de tudo que irá distrair) para Jesus, autor e consumador da fé, o qual, pelo gozo (de obter o prêmio) que lhe estava proposto, suportou a cruz, desprezando a afronta, e assentou-se à destra do trono de Deus. (Salmo 110:1)

Que Salvador nós temos! Ele suportou a vergonha da cruz e tomou a ira de Deus por nós! E tornou-se o autor e consumador da nossa fé! Louvado seja nosso amado Deus.

Ele completará aquilo que Ele iniciou em você! Através do Espírito Santo, Jesus dirigirá o nosso caminho, nos moldará à Sua imagem, nos aperfeiçoará no Seu amor e nos conduzirá a um relacionamento de confiança com Ele e com o nosso Pai. 

O resultado do nosso relacionamento de confiança é a energização e ativação da medida de fé que recebemos na Salvação. Quando as coisas ao seu redor parecem estar desmoronando, olhe para Jesus! Quando estiver com dificuldades financeiras, olhe para Jesus! Quando aqueles que você ama estão zombam de você, olhe para Jesus! Não se concentre nos problemas, olhe para Jesus, que Ele acalma a tempestade e fortalecerá sua fé para continuar! Tudo o que você tem a fazer é ficar no caminho estreito, obedecendo ao mandamento de amar e Ele completará aquilo que Ele começou!

Concluindo a meditação

Ó Glória, quão maravilhoso, quão surpreendente, por causa de Jesus, a fé para crer está disponível para todos, a vida eterna está disponível para todos! Permaneça no caminho estreito e aproveite sua comunhão com Jesus e nosso Pai! Ele completará aquilo que Ele iniciou em sua vida.

Day 76

Drifting Away

Hebrews 2:1 (AMP) SINCE ALL this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we have heard, lest in any way we drift past [them] and slip away.

         

In this scripture, the writer of Hebrews is cautioning believers to stay focused on the truths they had heard and not drift away into false teaching.

The word drifting reminds me of a story my brother, David, told me of an experience he and a friend had while fishing off a string of islands named the Florida Keys. 

Because his boat was not equipped with navigational equipment he always fished within binocular range of the buildings along the shoreline. However, on this day he and his friend became so focused on fishing that they forgot about the shoreline, and floated out into a shipping channel well away from the safety of the shore line. They finally realized where they were when an oil tanker began blowing it’s horn to warn that their boat was in their path.

Disoriented and not knowing which direction would lead to shore they chose to drive the boat ten minutes in one direction, stop, and use the binoculars to search for the shore line. After several failed attempts at locating the shore the sun was now going down, and the with the gasoline tank close to empty they made one more desperate attempt to locate the shore and safety.

This time when they looked through the binoculars a dim light appeared in the distance. Is the light from another tanker or from the safety of the shore? Knowing this would be their final attempt and risking a night at sea with no lights they drove toward the light and found the shore line.

Trying to build a relationship with Christ outside the safety of the Narrow Path of obedience will leave us with many failed attempts, the sun going down, and our gas tanks almost empty. However, when we focus on living our lives according to Christ’s command of loving one another as He loved us, He becomes intimately involved in revealing Himself to us. He wants us to know Him and therefore reveals Himself along the Narrow Path.

Ending Thoughts

As you continue along your journey focus on knowing Jesus and He will help you grow deep in your relationship with Him. The difficulty comes only when through the cares of sustaining this life we lose focus on knowing Him.  Stay focused on knowing Him and He will do the rest.

Dia 76

À Deriva

Hebreus 2: 1 (AMP) Portanto, convém-nos atentar com mais diligência para as coisas que já temos ouvido, para que em tempo algum nos desviemos delas.

Nas escrituras, o escritor de Hebreus está advertindo os crentes para que fiquem focados nas verdades que ouviram e não se desviem para os falsos ensinamentos. A expressão à deriva me lembra uma história que meu irmão David me contou sobre uma experiência que ele e um amigo tiveram enquanto pescavam em uma região de ilhas chamada Florida Keys.

Como seu barco não estava suprido com equipamento de navegação, ele sempre pescava usando o alcance de seus binóculos dos prédios ao longo da costa. No entanto, neste dia ele e seu amigo ficaram tão focados na pesca que se esqueceram da costa e acabaram por navegar em um canal de transporte bem longe da segurança da linha da costa.

Eles finalmente perceberam onde estavam quando um petroleiro começou a soar a buzina para avisar que o barco estava em seu caminho.

Desorientados e sem saber qual direção os levaria à costa, eles decidiram conduzir o barco por dez minutos em uma direção, parar e usar os binóculos para procurar a linha da costa. Depois de várias tentativas fracassadas de localizar a costa, o sol já estava se pondo, e com o tanque de gasolina quase vazio, eles fizeram mais uma desesperada tentativa de localizar a segurança da linha da costa.

Desta vez, quando olharam através dos binóculos, e viram uma luz fraca distante. Pensaram: Seria a luz de outro petroleiro ou a segurança da linha da costa? Sabendo que isso seria a tentativa final deles e arriscando uma noite no mar sem luzes, eles dirigiram em direção à luz e encontraram a linha da costa.

Tentar construir um relacionamento com Cristo fora da segurança do Caminho Estreito da obediência nos deixará à deriva, com muitas tentativas frustradas, o sol se pondo e nossos tanques de gasolina quase vazios. No entanto, quando nos concentramos em viver nossas vidas de acordo com o mandamento de Cristo de amar uns aos outros como Ele nos amou, Ele se torna intimamente envolvido em se revelar a nós. Ele quer que o conheçamos e, portanto, revela-se ao longo do caminho estreito.

Concluindo a meditação

Ao continuar ao longo de sua jornada, concentre-se em conhecer Jesus e Ele o ajudará a crescer profundamente em seu relacionamento com Ele. A dificuldade surge somente quando, através das preocupações desta vida, perdemos o foco em conhecê-Lo. Mantenha o foco em conhecê-lo e ele fará o resto.
