Tempos Trabalhosos

2 Timóteo capítulo três descreve o comportamento humano que será difícil para os cristãos viverem nos últimos dias.

2 Timóteo 3: 1–4 (ESV) Mas entenda isto, que nos últimos dias virão tempos de dificuldade. Pois as pessoas serão amantes de si mesmas, amantes do dinheiro, orgulhosas, arrogantes, abusivas, desobedientes a seus pais, ingratas, profanas, impiedosas, insalubres, caluniosas, sem autodomínio, brutais, não amando o bem, traiçoeiras, imprudentes inchados de vaidade, amantes do prazer e não amantes de Deus.

Se você parar um momento da sua rotina diária e considerar o que está acontecendo na sociedade, verá claramente que estamos nos últimos dias. Por exemplo, considere os políticos nas notícias. Muitos deles caluniam e estão sendo difamados, muitos são impiedosos e consumidos com arrogância e definitivamente não são amantes de Deus.

No entanto, esse comportamento não é reservado apenas para figuras políticas que estão sendo exibidas em todas as áreas da sociedade.

A advertência de Paulo não tem efeito sobre as pessoas que vivem como amantes de si mesmas sem Deus. Mas, para aqueles de nós que estão seguindo o Caminho Estreito da Obediência levando a um relacionamento com Deus, é importante que atendamos ao aviso de Paulo e percebamos que a associação com o comportamento sem Deus pode levar você a um comportamento sem Deus e levá-lo para fora do Caminho Estreito.

Day 63

He Learned Obedience

Hebrews 5:8 (ESV) Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.

Mark 14:36 (NKJV) And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”

Hebrews 5:7 (AMP) In the days of His flesh [Jesus] offered up definite, special petitions [for that which He not only wanted but needed] and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him Who was [always] able to save Him [out] from death, and He was heard because of His reverence toward God [His godly fear, His piety, in that He shrank from the horrors of separation from the bright presence of the Father].

In the Garden of Gethsemane, the final and most trying temptations to disobey His Father had begun. Jesus had learned obedience by facing the temptations of pride, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, but now his soul was crushed with the possibility of being separated from the Father.

The physical beatings, the abandonment by His disciples, the rejections from those He healed, loved, and fed, could not shake Jesus. But now He would become the sacrificial lamb of God sacrifice for all mankind and be separated from His Father. Hence, the agony, the horrific struggle, between obedience and disobedience ensued.

Philippians 2:8 (AMP) And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!

Thank you, Jesus, for humbling yourself and taking your obedience to the extremes of death. You won! And we through you will win as well.

1 Peter 1:14 (AMP) [Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel].

When we humble ourselves, by choosing to obey God we are transformed into the image of Jesus Christ and become children of obedience.

Ending Thoughts

Are you able to humble yourself in obedience to God’s word? When you find it difficult to obey call upon Holy Spirit to help and He will.

Dia 63

Ele aprendeu a obediência

Hebreus 5: 8 (ESV) Embora ele fosse um filho, ele aprendeu a obediência através do que ele sofreu.

Marcos 14:36 ​​(NKJV) E ele disse: “Abba, Pai, todas as coisas são possíveis para você. Tome este copo longe de mim; no entanto, não o que eu quero, mas o que você quiser.

Hebreus 5: 7 (AMP) Nos dias da Sua carne [Jesus] ofereceu petições específicas e definitivas [para aquilo que Ele não somente queria, mas necessitava] e súplicas com forte clamor e lágrimas àquele que era [sempre] capaz de livrai-o da morte, e ele foi ouvido por causa de sua reverência para com Deus [Seu temor piedoso, Sua piedade, em que Ele recuou dos horrores da separação da brilhante presença do Pai].

No Jardim do Getsêmani, as tentações finais e mais tentadoras de desobedecer a Seu Pai haviam começado. Jesus havia aprendido a obediência enfrentando as tentações do orgulho, a luxúria da carne e a concupiscência dos olhos, mas agora sua alma foi esmagada pela possibilidade de ser separado do Pai.

Os espancamentos físicos, o abandono por parte de Seus discípulos, as rejeições daqueles que Ele curou, amou e alimentou, não conseguiram abalar Jesus. Mas agora Ele se tornaria o cordeiro sacrificial do sacrifício de Deus para toda a humanidade e seria separado de Seu Pai. Assim, a agonia, a luta horrível entre a obediência e a desobediência se seguiu.

Filipenses 2: 8 (AMP) E depois que Ele apareceu em forma humana, Ele se rebaixou e se humilhou [ainda mais] e levou Sua obediência ao extremo da morte, até mesmo a morte da cruz!

Obrigado, Jesus, por se humilhar e levar sua obediência aos extremos da morte. Você ganhou! E através de você vai ganhar também.

1 Pedro 1:14 (AMP) [Viva] como filhos da obediência [a Deus]; não te conformes com os maus desejos [que te governaram] na tua antiga ignorância [quando não conhecias as exigências do Evangelho].

Quando nos humilhamos, ao optar por obedecer a Deus, somos transformados na imagem de Jesus Cristo e nos tornamos filhos da obediência.

Concluindo a meditação

Você é capaz de se humilhar em obediência à palavra de Deus? Quando você acha difícil obedecer, invoque o Espírito Santo para ajudar e Ele o fará.

Day 62

Controlled by Love

2 Corinthians 5:12–15 (AMP) We are not commending ourselves to you again, but we are providing you with an occasion and incentive to be [rightfully] proud of us, so that you may have a reply for those who pride themselves on surface appearances [on the virtues they only appear to have], although their heart is devoid of them. For if we are beside ourselves [mad, as some say], it is for God and concerns Him; if we are in our right mind, it is for your benefit, For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us, because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for all, then all died; And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake.   

Galatians 2:20 (NLT)  My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

Paul in his letter to the Corinthians and the Galatians declares that he is no longer living to himself or for his benefit. Whether In his right mind or out of his mind, Paul’s actions are controlled by the love of Christ which causes Paul to live for others.

Unlike Paul, many modern believers have fallen into the trap of believing Father God is a butler bound to provide everything their hearts desire when they ask in the Name of Jesus. Of  course our Father wants to bless us but His priority is molding us inwardly into the image of Jesus Christ.  

The Narrow Path is where we exchange our selfish life for the life of Christ. Each blow to the self-life is not without suffering, for the battle between obedience and disobedience is real. The body desires to rule and actually feels pain and suffers when it is denied. However Holy Spirit is our Comforter and through His power we can subdue the flesh and die to self. If we continue we will one day be able to say, “it is no longer I that lives but Christ that lives in me!”

If you are following the Narrow Path in pursuit of a relationship with Christ stay on it. If you are not, ask yourself why not? And be truthful with your answer.

Controlado pelo amor

2 Coríntios 5: 12–15 (AMP) Não nos estamos recomendando a vocês novamente, mas estamos proporcionando a você uma ocasião e um incentivo para nos orgulharmos de nós, para que você possa ter uma resposta para aqueles que se orgulham de aparências superficiais [nas virtudes que eles parecem ter], embora seu coração seja desprovido deles. Porque, se estamos fora de nós mesmos [loucos, como dizem alguns], é para Deus e se refere a ele; se estamos em nosso juízo perfeito, é para o seu benefício, Porque o amor de Cristo nos controla e nos impulsiona e nos impele, porque somos da opinião e da convicção de que [se] alguém morreu por todos, então todos morreram; E ele morreu por todos, para que todos os que vivem não vivam mais para si e para si, mas para e para o que morreu e ressuscitou por amor deles.

Gálatas 2:20 (NLT) Meu antigo eu foi crucificado com Cristo. Não sou mais eu que vivo, mas Cristo vive em mim.

Paulo em sua carta aos coríntios e aos gálatas declara que ele não está mais vivendo para si mesmo ou para seu benefício. Seja no seu perfeito juízo ou fora de si, as ações de Paulo são controladas pelo amor de Cristo, que faz com que Paulo viva para os outros.
Ao contrário de Paulo, muitos crentes modernos caíram na armadilha de crer que Deus é um mordomo obrigado a fornecer tudo o que seus corações desejam quando perguntam no Nome de Jesus. É claro que nosso Pai quer nos abençoar, mas Sua prioridade está nos moldando interiormente à imagem de Jesus Cristo.

O Caminho Estreito é onde trocamos nossa vida egoísta pela vida de Cristo. Cada golpe na vida pessoal não é sem sofrimento, pois a batalha entre obediência e desobediência é real. O corpo deseja governar e realmente sente dor e sofre quando é negado. No entanto, o Espírito Santo é o nosso Consolador e, através do Seu poder, podemos subjugar a carne e morrer para si mesmo. Se continuarmos, um dia poderemos dizer: "não sou mais eu que vivo, mas Cristo que vive em mim!"

Se você está seguindo o Caminho Estreito em busca de um relacionamento com Cristo, permaneça nele. Se você não é, pergunte a si mesmo porque não? E seja sincero com a sua resposta.

Day 61

Hearing God’s Voice

Jude 20–21 (AMP) But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit; Guard and keep yourselves in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) - [which will bring you] unto life eternal.

Prayer is simply talking and listening to God by either praying in tongues (in the Holy Spirit) or in your natural language. Both are very necessary in developing your relationship. Talking to God comes naturally, but because the mind is busy with the cares of living, you have to train yourself to hear His voice. Here is a method that will help.

After you stop talking to God and began listening for Him to speak, distractions, such as daily chores, commonly flood the mind and divert your attention away from hearing the Lord. Writing the distraction as a list of things to do later, will calm your mind and enable you to focus on hearing from Jesus. With your mind now focused on hearing the Lord continue to write down what you hear. When you finish praying read what you wrote and judge it against the Word of God in the Bible. Continue using this method until you are able to calm your mind and recognize the voice of the Lord without writing down the distractions and what you hear.

Ending Thoughts

Are you able to calm your mind to hear God’s voice? How is your prayer life? Fear not, as you continue to live in covenant with the Lord, your prayer life will increase and you will learn to hear His voice more clearly. Remember He loves you and it is His pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Meditação 61

Ouvindo a voz de Deus

Judas 20–21 (AMP) Mas vocês, amados, edifiquem-se [fundados] em sua mais santa fé [progridam, levantem-se como um edifício cada vez mais alto], orando no Espírito Santo; Guarda e guarda-te no amor de Deus; espere e espere pacientemente pela misericórdia de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo (o Messias) - [que o levará] para a vida eterna.

A oração é simplesmente falar e ouvir a Deus orando em línguas (no Espírito Santo) ou em sua linguagem natural. Ambos são muito necessários para desenvolver o seu relacionamento. Conversar com Deus vem naturalmente, mas porque a mente está ocupada com os cuidados da vida, você tem que se treinar para ouvir a voz Dele. Aqui está um método que ajudará.

Depois que você para de falar com Deus e começou a ouvi-lo falar, as distrações, como as tarefas diárias, geralmente inundam a mente e desviam sua atenção de ouvir o Senhor. Escrever a distração como uma lista de coisas para fazer depois, vai acalmar sua mente e permitir que você se concentre em ouvir de Jesus. Com sua mente agora concentrada em ouvir o Senhor continuar escrevendo o que você ouve. Quando você terminar de orar, leia o que escreveu e julgue-o contra a Palavra de Deus na Bíblia. Continue usando este método até que você possa acalmar sua mente e reconhecer a voz do Senhor sem anotar as distrações e o que você ouve.

Você consegue acalmar sua mente para ouvir a voz de Deus? Como está sua vida de oração? Não temais, enquanto continuais a viver em aliança com o Senhor, a tua vida de oração aumentará e aprenderás a ouvir a sua voz mais claramente. Lembre-se de que Ele ama você e é um prazer dar-lhe o reino.
