Day 89 

Arise and Shine

2 Timothy 3:1–5 (NKJV) But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 

John 13:35 (NKJV) By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

The above scriptures, while describing people living in the perilous times of the last days, paints a descriptive picture of the redeemed and the lost, the children of God and the devils crew. Paul in his letter to Timothy lays out a description of the self-centered carnal natured devil’s crowd, that claim to know God but deny Him in the way they live their lives.

Conversely, Jesus in John 13:35 said His disciples and easily identified by their love for one another.

There is a growing division, in our society, between light and darkness, good and evil, the lost and the redeemed. Truly it is time for the children of God to arise, and shine as Isaiah spoke of Jerusalem in Isaiah 60:1–2 (NKJV) Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.

Ending Thoughts

As you continue down the Narrow Path that leads to a relationship with God, your light which is His glorious life shines brighter and brighter through you. Stand up, be bold, share the love of Christ with someone. The brightest lights are easier seen and received when the darkness is the deepest.

Levanta-te e Resplandece

2 Timóteo 3: 1–5 (ACF) Sabe, porém, isto: que nos últimos dias sobrevirão tempos trabalhosos. Porque haverá homens amantes de si mesmos, avarentos, presunçosos, soberbos, blasfemos, desobedientes a pais e mães, ingratos, profanos, Sem afeto natural, irreconciliáveis, caluniadores, incontinentes, cruéis, sem amor para com os bons, Traidores, obstinados, orgulhosos, mais amigos dos deleites do que amigos de Deus, Tendo aparência de piedade, mas negando a eficácia dela. Destes afasta-te.

João 13:35 (ACF) Nisto todos conhecerão que sois meus discípulos, se vos amardes uns aos outros.

Nas escrituras acima, ao descrever as pessoas que vivem nos tempos perigosos dos últimos dias, demonstrando uma imagem descritiva dos redimidos e dos perdidos, dos filhos de Deus e da tripulação de demônios. Paulo, em sua carta a Timóteo, apresenta uma descrição da natureza demoníaca egocêntrica da multidão, que afirma conhecer a Deus, mas negam a Ele na sua forma de viver. Por outro lado, Jesus em João 13:35 disse Seus discípulos e são facilmente identificado por seu amor um pelo outro.

Há uma divisão crescente, em nossa sociedade, entre a luz e as trevas, o bem e o mal, os perdidos e os redimidos. Na verdade, é hora dos filhos de Deus se levantarem, e resplandecerem como Isaías falou de Jerusalém em

Isaías 60: 1–2 (ACF) Levanta-te, resplandece, porque vem a tua luz, e a glória do SENHOR vai nascendo sobre ti; Porque eis que as trevas cobriram a terra, e a escuridão os povos; mas sobre ti o Senhor virá surgindo, e a sua glória se verá sobre ti.

Concluindo a meditação

À medida que você continua no Caminho Estreito que leva a um relacionamento com Deus, sua luz, que é Sua gloriosa vida, resplandecerá mais e mais através de você. Levante-se, seja ousado, compartilhe o amor de Cristo com alguém. As luzes mais brilhantes são mais fáceis de serem vistas e recebidas quando a escuridão é mais profunda.
