Notoriously, Jordan Peterson over the past two years has demonstrated that he is on the path to knowing Jesus Christ, but so far, it is possible to distinguish that he has not accepted Him as his personal Lord and Savior. Therefore, the Holy Spirit has not yet revived his spirit. His words are good, have logical explanations, but all lifeless in themselves!
In the video below, Jordan struggles to explain in a confused and supervacanic way "The Truth".
Jordan explains that it is not enough just
to try our best, it is necessary to be more than that, defending that human
nature is fallen and that if we are not better, we will end up
indistinguishable from those who made, for example, Auschwitz a reality.
The Bible mentions that human nature after the entrance of sin, became vile, malevolent and decadent, regardless of how much man wants to be good and upright. "As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know." Romans 3:10-17
The apostle Paul, writing to the Romans in the text above based his knowledge on the writings of King David which states: "The fool says in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one." Psalm 14:1-3
Jordan quotes, somewhat distorted and abstruse, the words of Jesus Christ saying that no one goes to God except through the truth. However, it has not yet been revealed to him that the only truth is Christ Jesus. To connect with God, we need to come to Jesus Christ first, accept Him in such a way that our spirit is quickened by the Holy Spirit. Otherwise we remain dead, far from God. Jesus Christ said, "No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6b
Carefully ponder this text: "Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit." Ephesians 2:12-22
Trying, by your own effort to be better is an illusion and for believers, worse than living a religiosity, just legality.
Dear Jordan, even though we try with all our effort to be excellent, we still remain sinful, sordid, mean, and in a miserable human nature. Therefore, it is not only what the cross of Jesus Christ means either but what the resurrection of Jesus Christ does in us when we accept Him and walk with Him. It is to walk the walk. It is the transformation that matters and not the lucid and philosophical exposition about "The Truth" because it is still bashed in on herself.
It is the Holy Spirit who brings life to the words of the apostle John warning us not to love this world and the things here. Read the following text and meditate: "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life - comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." 1 John 2:15-17
The only way we can live by not our own diligence and be better is a life of connection with the heavenly Father, otherwise it is a waste of time and at the end we are still doomed to eternal death.
"The Truth" is Christ Jesus and is in Him alone. Without Him, we do not connect to God, the Father, to receive the Holy Spirit, remaining dead for eternity, seeking the things of this world, being vile and evil, no matter how hard we try to be better.
"Jesus answered, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
Yes, without Jesus Christ there is no truth, independently how well explained and intended that can lead to the path of eternal life in God!
Thus, Jordan Peterson, it is not necessary to clarify in a circumscribed way as you did what has already been written by Jesus Christ with letters of fire for eternity. You too should accept "The Truth" and proclaim it!
