Meditation 86

Persuaded Beyond Doubt

Romans 8:38–39 (AMP) For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Approximately twenty-four years after his conversion on the Damascus road Paul, while on his third missionary journey, wrote to the church at Rome. Through the sufferings and afflictions, through calamity and distress, through persecutions and hunger, and all the perils he faced while preaching the Gospel, Paul has come to know Jesus Christ and Father very deeply. His close relationship has convinced Paul that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

You never know the situations or circumstances you will face in life.  However, you can rest assured that nothing can separate you from God’s love in Jesus Christ and every challenge will work for your good when you obey the commandment to love. We must remember it is through prayer, bible study, and the circumstances of life that we come to know Him.

Ending Thoughts

If you stay on the Narrow Path that leads into relationship with God you like Paul will be persuaded beyond doubt that nothing can separate you from His love because you will know Him intimately.

Dia 86

Porque estou certo

Romanos 8: 38–39 (AMP) Porque estou certo (sem dúvidas) de que, nem a morte, nem a vida, nem os anjos, nem os principados, nem as potestades, nem o presente, nem o porvir, Nem a altura, nem a profundidade, nem alguma outra criatura nos poderá separar do amor de Deus, que está em Cristo Jesus nosso Senhor.

Aproximadamente vinte e quatro anos depois de sua conversão na estrada de Damasco, Paulo, enquanto em sua terceira viagem missionária, escreveu à igreja em Roma. Através dos sofrimentos e aflições, através de calamidade e perigo, através de perseguições e fome, e todos os riscos que ele enfrentou enquanto pregava o Evangelho, Paulo passou a conhecer Jesus Cristo e o Pai profundamente. Sua estreita relação convenceu Paulo de que nada poderia nos separar do amor de Deus que está Cristo Jesus. Você nunca sabe as situações ou circunstâncias que você enfrentará na vida. No entanto, você pode ter certeza de que nada pode separar você do amor de Deus que está Jesus Cristo e cada desafio cooperará para o seu bem quando você obedecer ao mandamento de amar. Devemos lembrar que é através da oração, do estudo bíblico e das circunstâncias da vida que chegamos a conhecê-Lo.

Concluindo a meditação

Se você permanecer no Caminho Estreito que leva ao relacionamento com Deus, você, como Paulo, será convencido, além de qualquer dúvida, de que nada pode separar você do amor Dele porque você O conhecerá.

Meditation 84

Be Encouraged

1 Samuel 30:1–6 (ESV) Now when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had made a raid against the Negeb and against Ziklag. They had overcome Ziklag and burned it with fire and taken captive the women and all who were in it, both small and great. They killed no one, but carried them off and went their way. And when David and his men came to the city, they found it burned with fire, and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep. David’s two wives also had been taken captive, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel. And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

         

Faced with the loss of their families both David and the men with him raised their voices and wept. And when the could weep no more the men turned against David and spoke of stoning him. But David strengthened himself in the Lord.

         

Like David and his men, everyone faces sorrowful circumstances. Some people will react like David’s men and stone the leader with words as they seek to relieve themselves of their responsibility in the circumstance. Others, like David, will encourage themselves in the Lord and seek Him. The way you react will determine your outcome.

         

Here are three steps that will help you press through unwelcome circumstances. Notice David wept as much as the others and then encouraged himself before seeking an answer from the Lord. It is natural and helpful to release your emotions by weeping when facing difficult circumstances. However, when weeping has come to an end, defeat depression by encouraging yourself in the Lord by looking back to the things He has brought you through. As you think about the victories, you will realize how much the Lord loves you and how much you love Him. Realizing how much He loves you will energize and activate your faith (trust in Him). When your faith is energized and activated it is time to ask him what you should do next.

Ending Thoughts

The journey of life has many ups and downs but through them all you can walk in victory by staying on the Narrow Path to relationship. Just look at the victories Jesus has brought you through and you will be encouraged to press closer to Him and He will come closer to you.

Seja encorajado

1 Samuel 30: 1–6 (ACF) Sucedeu, pois, que, chegando Davi e os seus homens ao terceiro dia a Ziclague, já os amalequitas tinham invadido o sul, e Ziclague, e tinham ferido a Ziclague e a tinham queimado a fogo. E tinham levado cativas as mulheres, e todos os que estavam nela, tanto pequenos como grandes; a ninguém, porém, mataram, tão-somente os levaram consigo, e foram o seu caminho. E Davi e os seus homens chegaram à cidade e eis que estava queimada a fogo, e suas mulheres, seus filhos e suas filhas tinham sido levados cativos. Então Davi e o povo que se achava com ele alçaram a sua voz, e choraram, até que neles não houve mais forças para chorar. Também as duas mulheres de Davi foram levadas cativas; Ainoã, a jizreelita, e Abigail, a mulher de Nabal, o carmelita. E Davi muito se angustiou, porque o povo falava de apedrejá-lo, porque a alma de todo o povo estava em amargura, cada um por causa dos seus filhos e das suas filhas; todavia Davi se fortaleceu no Senhor seu Deus.

Diante da perda de suas famílias, tanto Davi como os homens com ele levantaram suas vozes e choraram. E quando não podiam mais chorar, os homens se voltaram contra Davi e falaram de apedrejá-lo. Mas Davi se fortaleceu no Senhor. Como Davi e seus homens, todos enfrentam circunstâncias tristes. Algumas pessoas vão reagir como os homens de Davi e apedrejar o líder com palavras, à medida que buscam se aliviar de suas responsabilidades na circunstância. Outros, como Davi, se encorajarão no Senhor e o buscarão. A maneira como você reage determinará seu resultado.

Aqui estão três etapas que ajudarão você a passar por circunstâncias desagradáveis. Observe que Davi chorou tanto quanto os outros e depois se encorajou antes de buscar uma resposta no Senhor. É natural e útil liberar suas emoções chorando ao enfrentar circunstâncias difíceis. No entanto, quando o choro chega ao fim, derrote a depressão encorajando-se no Senhor, olhando para as coisas pelas quais Ele o trouxe. Ao pensar nas vitórias, você perceberá o quanto o Senhor o ama e quanto você o ama. Percebendo o quanto Ele ama você vai energizar e ativar sua fé (confiando Nele). Quando sua fé é energizada e ativada, é hora de perguntar a Ele o que você deve fazer  para seguir.

Concluindo a meditação

A jornada da vida tem muitos altos e baixos, mas você pode atravessar ela em vitória quando permanecer no Caminho Estreito para o relacionamento. Basta olhar para as vitórias que Jesus lhe trouxe e você será encorajado a aproximar-se dEle e Ele se aproximará de você.

Reject Rejection

Matthew 10:11–14 (NKJV) “Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out. And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

In this scripture Jesus is instructing his disciples. Because He knew they would be accepted by some and rejected by others he gave them specific instructions on how to deal with rejection. He told them to, “Shake the dust from your feet!”

We live in a world where rejection abounds. A low score on a test, losing a job, a broken relationship, losing a sporting event, being turned down for a date, not getting a raise in salary, are just a few of the rejections people encounter. From birth throughout your life you have been and will be subjected to rejection. Therefore, how to deal rejection becomes the big question.

John 15:18–19 (NKJV) “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

To handle rejection, start by understanding that the world hates you and will reject you because you love Christ and he loves you.  Then draw closer to Jesus and Father by continuing to obey Christ’s commandment to love one another as he loved us.  The closer your relationship with Christ the more secure you become in his love for you and the easier it becomes to reject rejection, or shake the dust off your feet. To shake the dust off your feet just forgive the person or persons that are rejecting you.

Ending Thoughts

It becomes easier to reject rejection, when you realize it really does not matter who rejects you as long as you are always accepted by Jesus.

Meditação dia 83

Rejeite a rejeição

Mateus 10:11-14 (ACF) E, em qualquer cidade ou aldeia em que entrardes, procurai saber quem nela seja digno, e hospedai-vos aí, até que vos retireis. E, quando entrardes nalguma casa, saudai-a; E, se a casa for digna, desça sobre ela a vossa paz; mas, se não for digna, torne para vós a vossa paz. E, se ninguém vos receber, nem escutar as vossas palavras, saindo daquela casa ou cidade, sacudi o pó dos vossos pés.

Vivemos em um mundo onde a rejeição tem crescido. Em um teste realizado:  perder um emprego, um relacionamento rompido, perder um evento esportivo, sendo trocado em um relacionamento, não ter aumento salarial, são somente alguns exemplos de rejeições que as pessoas encontram.  Desde o nascimento e ao longo de sua vida, você foi e será submetido a rejeição. Portanto, como lidar com a rejeição torna-se a grande questão.

João 15:18-19 (ACF) Se o mundo vos odeia, sabei que, primeiro do que a vós, me odiou a mim. Se vós fôsseis do mundo, o mundo amaria o que era seu, mas porque não sois do mundo, antes eu vos escolhi do mundo, por isso é que o mundo vos odeia.

Para lidar com a rejeição, começa por entender que o mundo te  odeia e você será rejeitado porque você ama Cristo e Ele ama você. Então aproximem-se de Jesus e do Pai continuando a obedecer o mandamento de Cristo de amar uns aos outros como ele nos amou. Quanto mais próximo for o seu relacionamento com Cristo, mais seguro você se tornará no amor Dele por você e mais fácil se tornará rejeitar a rejeição, ou sacudir a poeira fora de seus pés. Para sacudir a poeira de seus pés você precisa apenas perdoar a pessoa ou as pessoas que estão rejeitando você.

Concluindo a meditação

Torna-se mais fácil rejeitar a rejeição, quando você percebe que realmente não importa quem rejeita você contanto que você é sempre aceito por Jesus.

Day 82

Love is the Key

Matthew 16:15–19 (NKJV) He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

From this scripture, it is easily understood that Jesus was going to build His church upon the revelation that He is the Son of the living God. The rock is figurative of the solid unchanging, undefeatable, characteristics that make God, God. Which when we follow this line of thought brings us to 1 John 4:8 (NKJV) …for God is love.” From this view light is beginning to shine on the keys of the kingdom.

When we study Ephesians 2:8 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: in combination with Galatians 5:6 (AMP) which states, faith is activated, energized, and expressed by love the keys of the kingdom come into full view.   

To unlock the promises of the kingdom we must have faith and love. You can have faith but without love it is not activated it is not energized and it is not being expressed.

The fuel that lifts faith of the launching pad is love and therefore a major key to the kingdom.

Dia 82

O amor é a chave

Mateus 16: 15-19 (ACF) Disse-lhes ele: E vós, quem dizeis que eu sou? E Simão Pedro, respondendo, disse: Tu és o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo. E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhe: Bem-aventurado és tu, Simão Barjonas, porque to não revelou a carne e o sangue, mas meu Pai, que está nos céus. Pois também eu te digo que tu és Pedro, e sobre esta pedra edificarei a minha igreja, e as portas do inferno não prevalecerão contra ela; E eu te darei as chaves do reino dos céus; e tudo o que ligares na terra será ligado nos céus, e tudo o que desligares na terra será desligado nos céus.

Nesta passagem bíblica, é facilmente compreendido que Jesus estaria edificando Sua igreja baseado na revelação de que Ele é o Filho do Deus Vivo. A figura rocha revela algo sólido imutável e imbatível, características estas que fazem Deus ser Deus. O qual quando seguimos essa linha de pensamento nos leva a 1 João 4:8 (ACF) ...pois Deus é amor.” A partir dessa visão, a luz está começando a brilhar nas chaves do reino.

Quando estudamos Efésios 2:8 (ACF) Porque pela graça sois salvos pela fé; e isto não vem de vós: é o dom de Deus: em combinação com Gálatas 5:6 (AMP) que afirma, a fé é ativada, energizada e expressa pelo amor,  onde as chaves do Reino passam a ter pleno entendimento.  Para desbloquear as promessas do reino, devemos ter fé e amor. Você pode ter fé, mas sem amor ela não é ativada, não é energizada e não está sendo expressa. O combustível que eleva a fé da plataforma de lançamento é o amor e, portanto, este é a chave principal do reino.

Carregue amor pois quando você carrega amor você está perseguindo a Deus!

THE NARROW PATH TO RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD - DAY 81

Day 81

Resolute

In Daniel chapter six, King Darius was tricked by his leaders who were jealous of Daniel, into signing a decree that stated; whoever petitioned any god or man for thirty days, except him would be cast into the den of lions. When Daniel knew the decree had been signed he continued to pray, not in secret but with his window open for all to see. Consequently, he was cast into the lion’s den to be destroyed but God sent His angel and shut the mouths of the lions. 

The resolve of Daniel to continue worshiping God regardless of the consequence stands as a lesson and motivation to all that travel the Narrow Path to Relationship with God. Bitter words are the fiery darts the devil uses to set your emotions on fire. They are coupled with thoughts like; are you going to allow that person to falsely accuse you? Defend yourself! Don’t be a fool, defend yourself. It is a trap, a strategy, commonly used by the demonic to destroy your foundation of love by causing you to break covenant.

Learn the lesson from Daniel. Keep on praying, keep on forgiving, make up your mind to walk in the blessings of the Covenant and not the consequences of breaking it. 

King Darius loved Daniel and when he realized he had been deceived into destroying Daniel, King Darius spent the night praying and asking God to save Daniel. Early in the morning King Darius went to the lion’s den and when he found Daniel alive rejoiced and command those that deceived him be thrown to the lions.

Daniel 6:24–28 (NKJV) And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den. Then King Darius wrote: To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you. I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Keep following the Narrow Path beloved, King Jesus is praying for you! And soon His love flowing through you will shout the mouth of the accusing a lion and you will prosper in the eternal kingdom of King Jesus!

Ending Thoughts

Take that step of becoming determined to know Him for when you do He will step toward you. His desire is for you to know Him and Father.  Press on dear saint, be encouraged, wonderful days of fellowship with Jesus await you!

Dia 81

Determinado (Perseverante-Corajoso)

Em Daniel, capítulo seis, o rei Dario foi enganado por seus líderes que tinham ciúmes de Daniel, assinaram um decreto que declarava; que todo aquele que orasse a qualquer deus ou a qualquer homem nos próximos trinta dias, exceto ao rei, seria atirado na cova dos leões.

Quando Daniel soube que o decreto tinha sido assinado, ele continuou a orar em seu quarto, no andar de cima, onde as janelas davam para Jerusalém para que todos pudessem ver.  Fazia isso três vezes por dia, ele se ajoelhava e orava, agradecendo ao seu Deus, como costumava fazer.

Consequentemente, ele foi lançado na cova dos leões para ser devorado, mas Deus enviou Seu anjo e fechou a boca dos leões. A decisão de Daniel de continuar a adorar a Deus, independentemente da consequência, é uma lição e uma motivação para todos os que estão no Caminho Estreito para o relacionamento com Deus. Palavras amargas são os dardos inflamados que o diabo usa para incendiar suas emoções.

Eles são acometidos com pensamentos como: você vai permitir que essa pessoa a acuse falsamente? Defenda-se! Não seja tolo, defenda-se. É uma armadilha, uma estratégia comumente usada pelos demoníacos para destruir sua base de amor fazendo com que você quebre a aliança. Aprenda a lição de Daniel. Continue orando, continue a perdoar, decida seguir as bênçãos da Aliança e não as consequências de quebrá-la. O rei Dario amava Daniel e, quando percebeu que havia sido enganado para destruir Daniel, o rei Dario passou a noite orando e pedindo a Deus que salvasse Daniel. De manhã bem cedo, o rei Dario foi até a cova dos leões e, quando encontrou Daniel vivo, alegrou-se e ordenou que os homens que o haviam enganado fossem atirados na cova dos leões.

Daniel 6: 24–28 (ACF)  E ordenou o rei, e foram trazidos aqueles homens que tinham acusado a Daniel, e foram lançados na cova dos leões, eles, seus filhos e suas mulheres; e ainda não tinham chegado ao fundo da cova quando os leões se apoderaram deles, e lhes esmigalharam todos os ossos.  Então o rei Dario escreveu a todos os povos, nações e línguas que moram em toda a terra: A paz vos seja multiplicada. a minha parte é feito um decreto, pelo qual em todo o domínio do meu reino os homens tremam e temam perante o Deus de Daniel; porque ele é o Deus vivo e que permanece para sempre, e o seu reino não se pode destruir, e o seu domínio durará até o fim.

Ele salva, livra, e opera sinais e maravilhas no céu e na terra; ele salvou e livrou Daniel do poder dos leões.   Este Daniel, pois, prosperou no reinado de Dario, e no reinado de Ciro, o persa.

Amados prossigam no Caminho Estreito, o Rei Jesus está intervindo em sua causa! Em breve o amor Dele que flui através de sua vida, irá fechar a boca do leão acusador e você prosperará no reino eterno do Rei Jesus!

Concluindo a meditação

Tenha determinação na busca em conhece-Lo, quando fizer isso Ele se voltará para vocês. O desejo Dele é que você conheça a Ele e ao Pai. Persevere amados, sinta-se encorajado, maravilhosos dias de comunhão com Jesus esperam por você.

Day 80

The Red Sea Shore

Exodus 14:10 (NKJV) And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So, they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.

Picture Moses by the Red Sea shore. Pharaoh with all the chariots in Egypt have them trapped at the Red Sea. Israel can’t swim and they can’t fight and the water is too deep and way to wide. And the children of Israel after crying out to the Lord are verbally accusing Moses of leading them into the wilderness.

Exodus 14:11–12 (NKJV)  Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.”

How quickly Israel forgot the pillar of cloud that protected them day and night when they saw Pharaoh’s chariots approaching. The Lord had led them into the wilderness and to the shore of the Red Sea not to destroy them but to gain honor over Pharaoh so Egypt would know He instead of Pharaoh was God.

Exodus 14:15–18 (NKJV) And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So, I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen. Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

You may feel like you are standing on the shore of the Red Sea with Pharaohs chariots closing in to destroy your life. Fear not, the Lord has brought you to this place to show you that He is Lord. 

Psalm 37:23 (AMP) The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].

When you live your life on the Narrow Path the Lord delights in you and sometimes directs your steps into situations to reveal Himself strong and show you nothing is impossible with Him! At other times, you will find yourself in situations that require you to speak to the mountain in the Name of Jesus, so you can discover the authority you have been given. You must remember the ultimate goal is to know Jesus and Father which is live eternal.

Ending Thoughts

If you have taken up your cross and are walking on the Narrow Path of obedience your steps are being order by the Lord and you will come into a wonderful relationship with Him. If you are self-willed, self-seeking the Lord is not ordering your steps to reveal Himself. If that is you repent of your selfish ways and get on the Narrow Path.

A costa do Mar Vermelho

Êxodo 14:10 (ACF) E aproximando Faraó, os filhos de Israel levantaram seus olhos, e eis que os egípcios vinham atrás deles, e temeram muito; então os filhos de Israel clamaram ao Senhor.

Figura de Moisés na costa do Mar Vermelho. Faraó foi com todos os carros do Egito atrás deles no Mar Vermelho. Israel não conseguiria nadar e eles não conseguIriam lutar e o mar era muito profundo e muito extenso. E os filhos de Israel, após clamarem ao Senhor, estão acusando Moisés verbalmente de levá-los ao deserto.

Êxodo 14: 11–12 (ACF) E disseram a Moisés: Não havia sepulcros no Egito, para nos tirar de lá, para que morramos neste deserto? Por que nos fizeste isto, fazendo-nos sair do Egito? Não é esta a palavra que te falamos no Egito, dizendo: Deixa-nos, que sirvamos aos egípcios? Pois que melhor nos fora servir aos egípcios, do que morrermos no deserto.

Com que rapidez Israel esqueceu a coluna de nuvem que os protegia dia e noite quando viram os carros do faraó se aproximando. O Senhor os levou para o deserto e para a costa do Mar Vermelho, não para destruí-los, mas para obter honra sobre o Faraó, para que o Egito soubesse que Ele, em vez de Faraó, era Deus.

Êxodo 14: 15–18 (ACF) Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Por que clamas a mim? Dize aos filhos de Israel que marchem. E tu, levanta a tua vara, e estende a tua mão sobre o mar, e fende-o, para que os filhos de Israel passem pelo meio do mar em seco. E eis que endurecerei o coração dos egípcios, e estes entrarão atrás deles; e eu serei glorificado em Faraó e em todo o seu exército, nos seus carros e nos seus cavaleiros, E os egípcios saberão que eu sou o Senhor, quando for glorificado em Faraó, nos seus carros e nos seus cavaleiros.

Você pode se ver como se estivesse em pé na costa do Mar Vermelho, com carruagens faraônicas se aproximando para destruir sua vida. Não temais, o Senhor te trouxe a este lugar para te mostrar que Ele é o Senhor.

Salmo 37:23 (AMP) O Senhor firma os passos de um (bom) homem, quando a conduta deste o agrada;

Quando você vive sua vida no Caminho Estreito, o Senhor se deleita em você e algumas vezes direciona seus passos para situações que revelam quão forte Ele é e mostram que nada é impossível com Ele!

Em outras ocasiões, você se encontrará em situações que exigirá que você fale à montanha no Nome de Jesus, para que possa descobrir a autoridade que lhe foi dada. Você deve lembrar que o objetivo final é conhecer a Jesus e o Pai que é eterno.

Concluindo a meditação

Se você pegou sua cruz e está andando no Caminho Estreito da obediência, seus passos estão sendo ordenados pelo Senhor e você entrará em um maravilhoso relacionamento com Ele. Se você é obstinado, egoísta, o Senhor não está ordenando seus passos para se revelar à você a não ser que você se arrepende de seus caminhos egoístas e volte para o Caminho Estreito.

Day 79

Growing Dull

When the disciples asked Jesus why He spoke to the people in parables he replied:

Matthew 13:13 (NKJV) Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Matthew 13:15–16 (NKJV) For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear. 

The people Jesus was speaking to had ears to hear and eyes to see but over a period of time their hearts had grown dull until they were past recognizing and obeying the truth.

Our view of the world was and is formed by listening, reading, and observing. From childhood, through our eyes and ears, we gather and process information that frames our beliefs and the lens through which we view the world.

We are living in the Information Age or best called the Information Overload Age where many are the people that have eyes, but do not see and ears, but do not hear. The information overload of political struggle, the economy, world events, climate change, sexuality, and social media, pollutes and dulls their eyes and their ears to the vitality important, eternal message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The information overload, like plaque clogging an artery, has turned many a church into a social club with lukewarm messages designed to keep the people coming and the money flowing. There is no room for the Holy Spirit to call the lost to the cross, or convict the saved of the error of their ways. Many have become grave yards of dry bones, clouds without rain, void of the power of God, filled with people that seek an ear tingling message of a more prosperous trouble-free life. They have lost the eternal life changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that affords entrance through the Narrow Gate and onto the Narrow Path that leads to Relationship with God. And it is only by reading the bible, prayer, and obeying Christ’s commandment daily, that allows our eyes to see and our ears to hear through which we maintain our moral compass and proper view of the world in which we live.

Ending Thoughts

Because of the information overload many who confess Christ as Savior have lost their ability to see and hear and thereby obey.  Stay on the Narrow Path to Relationship with God beloved and your eyes will be open and your ears will hear when Jesus calls us home.

Coração endurecido

Quando os discípulos perguntaram a Jesus por que Ele falou ao povo em parábolas ele respondeu: 

Mateus 13:13 (ACF) Por isso lhes falo por parábolas; porque eles, vendo, não vêem; e, ouvindo, não ouvem nem compreendem.

Mateus 13: 15-16 (ACF) Porque o coração deste povo está endurecido,E ouviram de mau grado com seus ouvidos, E fecharam seus olhos; Para que não vejam com os olhos,E ouçam com os ouvidos,e compreendam com o coração,e se convertam,e eu os cure. Mas, bem-aventurados os vossos olhos, porque vêem, e os vossos ouvidos, porque ouvem.

As pessoas com as quais Jesus estava falando tinham ouvidos para ouvir e olhos para ver, mas durante um período de tempo, até reconhecerem e obedecerem à verdade, seus corações estavam endurecidos.

Nossa visão do mundo foi e é formada por ouvir, ler e observar. Desde a infância, através de nossos olhos e ouvidos, reunimos e processamos informações que moldam nossas crenças e visão através das quais vemos o mundo.

Estamos vivendo na Era da Informação ou melhor chamada de Idade da Sobrecarga da Informação, onde muitas pessoas têm olhos, mas não vêem e ouvidos, mas não ouvem. A sobrecarga de informação a respeito da luta política, da economia, dos eventos mundiais, da mudança climática, da sexualidade e das mídias sociais; poluem e entorpecem os olhos e ouvidos para a importante e eterna mensagem do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo. A sobrecarga de informação é como uma placa entupindo uma artéria, transformando muitas igrejas em um clube social com mensagens mornas destinadas a manter as pessoas a voltarem para a igreja e o dinheiro fluindo. Não há espaço para o Espírito Santo chamar os perdidos para a cruz, ou convencer os salvos do pecado em sua caminhada. Muitos se tornaram túmulos de ossos secos, nuvens sem chuva, sem o poder de Deus, cheios de pessoas que buscam uma mensagem formidável de uma vida mais próspera e sem problemas. Eles perderam a mensagem de transformação para a vida eterna do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo que permite a entrada através do Portão Estreito e no Caminho Estreito que leva ao Relacionamento com Deus. E é somente lendo e meditando na Bíblia, orando e obedecendo ao mandamento de Cristo diariamente, que permite que nossos olhos vejam e nossos ouvidos escutem, através dos quais mantemos nossa bússola moral e visão adequada do mundo em que vivemos.

Concluindo a meditação

Por causa da sobrecarga de informação, muitos que confessam a Cristo como Salvador perderam a capacidade de ver e ouvir e, assim, obedecer. Amados permaneçam no caminho estreito do relacionamento com Deus e seus olhos estarão abertos e seus ouvidos ouvirão quando Jesus nos chamar de volta para casa.
